3D printed bookends celebrate Kittawa, a Potawatomi woman and her husband, Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, who founded the first non-indigenous settlement that became the city of Chicago. Open Editions and Floating Museum, an arts collective, collaborated on the bookends. The digitally scanned portraits are part of Floating Museum's 'Founders', an inflatable mobile monument to commemorate historical figures and stories of indigenous people and people of color.
